Remind yourself of the EMOTION
Challenge your thinking -
So you started your goal - and you are a few weeks in. Do you still feel the excitement? Yes? No? Maybe?
Wait - I HAD A GOAL? LOL! What is it about us humans - we love “newness”! It gets our adrenaline pumping! It perks us up and picks us up! Yet then, we becoming accustomed to what we are doing, we lose the feels and we “think” there is something “wrong” or wrong with us -
We are designed to become efficient - but, then when we are efficient we sometimes lose the excitement for why we started what we started in the first place!
Take your goal or goals and add these “Steps” to them.
STEP 2 on solidifying your goals
I need you to associate the WHY you chose the goals you chose -
And NOW I want you to associate the EMOTION you will feel when you achieve the goal - and REALLY FEEL IT!
Ie “I want to do 10 push ups, unbroken because I have not yet been able to do that many, and I want to challenge myself to do something difficult! ---------->
(EMOTION STATEMENT) I am THRILLED that I have gotten stronger, and I FEEL AMAZING that I accomplished this goal!”
Often people ask how to stay motivated - well one, you want to remember motivation typically has a FEELING attached to it -
Often we do things to avoid pain. Or Because we are afraid - or in love -
These are all emotions - (reasonable but often not "logical").
So, if you can create the recognition and the emotion around your why for each goal -
When the feeling dulls, and you “get bored” - this is how you “PICK IT BACK UP!”
So, don’t just read the email - pretty please - do the action step!
Write it down and make sure you share it in the facebook group, or text me - “I did my why” and it makes me feel________”
Go get those goals!
